Cinema Village – Day One – Block Two

Bowery Film Festival is proud to screen the following selections:

• Maggie & Shelly

Directed by Chad Hylton & Colin Henning

When Shelly is forced to connect with her old college friend, Maggie, she thinks they have nothing in common –but they could be exactly what the other is missing.

• The Mail Gaze

  Directed by Jonny Diaz

Roommates Gemma and Lainie are smitten with their handsome UPS man. So, the two girls make a bet: first one to get a date with him wins; loser does the dishes. As the girls do their best to woo him, things go hilariously and dangerously awry.

• In Between

Directed by Nicholas Molencupp & Juli-Ann De Barros

Nick's love life is a loop of first dates, last texts, and loud disappointment. As a bigger gay man, he's learned to laugh off rejection before it can sting. Then comes Beau, confident, magnetic, British, and for a moment everything Nick thought he wanted. But when Beau's shame about being seen in public with him surfaces, Nick is forced to confront why he keeps attracting the wrong guy. With help from his sharp-tongued queer friends, multiple therapists, and a few brutal epiphanies, Nick begins to realize that the love he has been chasing all along doesn't come with a British accent and a side of abs.
